What is Maritime Law?

Maritime cases are different than normal accident cases because they involve maritime law or they involve a cruise ship contract. You have less time to see what is the basic starting point that’s very important to know. You can have a slip and fall or trip and fall or a boating accident. But if the action involved a trip on what’s called navigable waters, then you only have three years to sue under maritime law. It’s even shorter with a cruise ship case because their cruise ship contract will say that you only have one year to make a claim and you have to sue them in federal court. So the most important thing is if you do have a cruise ship accident case or maritime case, you should hurry up and contact a lawyer soon as possible because you have limited time to sue.
