The FDA has been relaxing the testing requirements for drugs in order to speed up the approval process, and as a result companies have been rushing to bring new drugs to market. But what happens when a drug such as ZANTAC (ranitidine), or medical devices such as breast implants are found to cause harm?

Pharmaceutical errors involving prescriptions are also on the rise and these errors take place at an alarming rate. Prescribing the wrong dose, or a drug known to have negative interactions when taken in conjunction with a different drug, are common errors. The improper filling of a prescription or dispensing the wrong prescription by hospital staff can also occur.
