Akron plane crash takes 7 lives, all from Boca Raton real estate firm

ct-ohio-plane-crash-20151111The plane that crashed in Akron, Ohio, Tuesday and took the lives of nine people from South Florida with it did not issue a distress signal before its flight ended in flames behind a set of apartment buildings, federal investigators said.

A review of the plane’s cockpit voice recorder, security video from the neighborhood; the pilots’ training; the maintenance history of the 36-year-old Hawker 125-700 aircraft and weather conditions will all be reviewed in the investigation, the National Transportation Safety Board said Wednesday.

Among those who perished: Seven members of a close-knit South Florida real estate firm, Pebb Enterprises that is at 7900 Glades Road just outside Boca Raton.
