Product Liability Ikea pulls window blinds with strangulation risk.
Product Liability Ikea announced today that is going to do the right thing and no longer sell window blinds that have cords because of the strangulation risk to children. We commend IKEA for this corporate decision. Did you know that about one child dies a month from being strangled by the cord on a window blind? This product is just too dangerous and this does not have to occur. If you have window blinds and small children please make sure that you secure the blind cords out of the reach of your kids. Kids love to play with these cords but have no idea that they present a deadly risk.
